i'd like to ask that manager what "contradicts what each food does" mean as well.

although i have heard the reasoning for the recommendation NOT to switch or mix foods. the way it's been explained to me is that if you mix or switch, then your pet will not benefit from the long term health effects of one particular formula. kinda like how you want to stick with one skin care system (cleanser, toner, moisturizer) 'cause each component is formulated to work with each other and long term use will have better results for your skin. switching often means your skin have to keep adjusting itself to different formulas hence never giving you the benefits long term use would.

i agree with the skin care system theory. i'm not sure it applies to dog food though. i like the idea of giving my little one a variety of foods and change things up every once in a while.
