Higgins lives to catch his frisbee -- a soft small disc -- and loves to show off for people and other dogs. When he catches it, about 90% of the time, he takes a "victory lap" around two campsites (we live full-time in our RV and travel). When his tongue is hangin' out, we tell him to "take a rest" and he immediately drops the disc and lies down. People can't get over him, and word spreads in the campgrounds we visit, so he has lots of fans who come to see him in action.
He also has an overflowing toybox which he loves to go through each day and pick out just the right toy for the moment. The box gets refreshed regularly with presents Mom brings him when they have left him home for a few hours. Spoiled? MY Yorkie? You bet!
He especially loves those three little soft toys that cost 94 cents at WalMart. Loves to catch them in mid-air and they are great for indoor play.
And then there are the rocks.....usually rocks that weigh as much as he does. He is a "rockhound", my kid. Pushes them around until his little nose is bloody, so I have to watch him. Goes nuts over rocks. Buries them. Digs them up. Even continued to push one rock after he had pushed it into a lake. Got soaking wet and coughed some, but he didn't care. Psycho about rocks.
He invents games and teaches them to us. They are sooooo smart!!!! |
