Because there are lots of people out there who have "pure" yorkies that look not a thing like yorkies and have bulging eyes, stringy hair and so on. People who look at the pictures of yorkies and yorkies in dog shows and such go oh I love THAT look and then read about them and love there attitude as well. Breeding yorkies that don't even look like yorkies is a disservice to the breed and everyone who loves the yorkie, every part of the yorkie.
