Early shows divided the classes by weight - under 5 pounds and 5 pounds and over. Size, however, soon settled down to an average of between 3 and 7 pounds, resulting in only one class being offered in later shows."

Its sad that we are losing the larger breed BC most breeders think they have to breed within the standers and every yorkie should be a show yorkie. This is not keeping the breed going.

Pure is pure, no way arounds it.

The whole topic got started BC someone made the comment that its not under 7LB and should be fixed. I think that is wrong info.
