Congratulations, I'm sure you'll grow to love him SO much, even the Poo part.
Companionship is one of a Dog's best features, but, it can really help you when it comes to it's ability to be observant of your surroundings, and even though small, create a big ruckus in your behalf, if it senses an intrusion.
This is a very important function to/for me. I always praise my guys generously, when they alarm at the "right" things.
