You will always miss Hugo but I think getting Chewy was a good idea. It will help heal your heart. After our Katie died I felt I needed to wait and grieve for awhile before getting another dog....?? Not sure where I got that idea? Katie was 18 years old and somehow I felt the kids and I needed to wait...? In hind site, I waited too long, because once we got Charlie he brought such joy and love to us. I still cry over Katie, and we will always miss her. Every year when I put her little photo Xmas ornament on our Xmas tree I boo hoo! Charlie hasn't replaced Katie but He has filled a void in our home and we love him so much - I guess it's just the " circle of life" ......:-( |
