This was the exact issue with had with Foxy..after rescuing her, I noticed she kept gaining weight..Well we went to the vet and she was pregnant and the vet feared the puppies would be too large for her to have, so for her safety we had an emergency spay..She was in horrible shape as it was, and this too could have been her death sentence..Of course, I felt horrible about the puppies, but this poor girl had been through sooo much, and I knew nothing about birthing and helping with puppies..It was the best decision for us and Foxy...and I dont regret it one bit..
