Hello, I am considering to adopt a 5 year old female yorkie that is used to go potty outside. I would like to potty train her on a pad. Is this something that can be done?

I've had one Yorkie before that was trained as a baby to go on pads and had no problems but since this dog is used to going outside for a few years now, can it be done?
