So sorry that your dog has the knee problem. My previous dog had LPs but they were not bad enough to require surgery. Depends on the grade and also age. Your Vet will know how advanced the issue is and what to do. If it is only a low grade then Cosequin will help.
Even if you have to do the surgery, most dogs take it very well and are on their feet (excuse the pun!) in days. It costs around $3000 per knee I think.
