Default New Male Yorkie Pooping in House

My husband brought home a Yorkie about 3 months ago he found online. He started out the first week with no accidents and now it has gotten to the point that he poops in the house every single day. We keep him in a kennel because he can't be trusted unless he is right beside me -- those are the only poop-free days we have, btw. He was outside all evening with us last night, pooped and peee outside so I let him sleep with me last night...nope. Woke up to poop again.

He has no problems peeing outside. He even has favorite spots that he poops when he poops outside. He doesnt hike his leg in the house. He's around a year old now; husband hasn't taken him to get fixed yet but it's in the works. I have had dogs in the past, never this breed, and this poop in the house but no pee thing is new--and a bit odd to me. I don't want to keep him in a keep him locked up all day, but I don't want my toddler in poop even more.

Any advice?
