It is just heart breaking. I know some people get upset about the subject but the facts are that a puppy is just starting to be weaned at 6 weeks of age. It is far from being physically or emotionally ready to leave it's mom and litter mates.
The fact is that people who breed dogs only for the money do not want to clean up after the puppies after they start eating solid food. It is a messy ordeal and the mom stops cleaning up after the pups when they start being weaned. Because the majority of people who get a puppy get them from people who have never bothered to educate them selves about the growth and development of puppies most people believe that a 6 or 8 week old puppy is ready to leave it's first home. That kind of lack of knowledge ends up being a heart breaking situation for the pups.
Glad you spoke up. It's not an easy thing to do sometimes. Maybe, just maybe, one of them will consider your words later on. |
