Default Resorting to gumtree for buying another Yorkie

I have used gum tree once to buy my pomeranian Cora, who lives with at mums house (As when I moved out, I felt it would be cruel to ruin her routine etc, plus my mum loves her company). And I had a bad experience with the owner. She was sold at a relatively high price despite being 6 months old. And when we got her we found out she had no name given to her by the previous owner, and was kept outside.

When I 'paid'/adopted Jasper my 11 month old Yorkie, it worked out great because a close friend's yorkies, accidentally mated before they were supposed to be spayed, and I got to meet Jasper about 5-6 times before taking him home at 8 weeks old. I loved the fact I got to bond with him before hand.

The trouble is, I don't know anyone personally selling any yorkies. It was mear luck the last time. I tried the registered kennel club for the UK, but nothing ever comes up for Northern Ireland. Which is a shame. I am worried if I use gumtree, I'll have another bad experience with the owner/breeder. I would like to meet the puppy I take home with once at least, before taking home. I also want to meet the mum and dad, and make sure they are raised in a family home. I don't know how to go about doing this. Has anyone got any good tips, on this?

Thanks.
