So this morning DH and I went to try my new .38 Smith and Wesson snub nose. We came home, pulled into the driveway and a big ol hawk was sitting on the street light right in front of our house munching on a squirrel! As we pulled in and stopped he grabbed his lunch and flew away!!

He left a lovely string of squirrel guts hanging off the light post!

This hawk was so big- probably one of the biggest I have seen here! I always see a hawk sitting on the rock behind my house, I wonder if this is him? We have about 10 acres of land behind our house.. Between the hawks, owls, coyotes I have seen it all, but never this close!!

Last night we also heard a pack of coyotes killing something!!
