Would you consider that a "red flag"? The only reason that it is there is so if anyone was doing a keyword search with the word "teacup" in it, they might find me. I have learned that the word "teacup" means something different to a different people. After talking to someone for a few minutes, sometimes I learn that what they are calling a teacup is really just the normal size for a yorkie 4-7lbs. I don't breed to get tiny puppies - they just happen sometimes. I breed for health, appearance, and temperament, and try really hard to be a responsible breeder. Opinions welcome.
It doesn't bother me that they say they occasionally produce tiny little yorkies, this is true of most breeders. What bother me is that they say, "Our parent dogs weigh between four and five pounds," it means that the females are no bigger than 5 pounds, maybe 4 pounds, and this is too small. Breeders who emphasize size, aren't breeding for the overall dog. You are correct about one thing, there are lots of definitions for the word "teacup" and some people think it means the same as toy.

What do you mean you are breeding for health? What types of testing do you do?
