I'm not sure why they have not hospialized him. They can figure out sone way to get the fluid dwn consistently even without a diagnosis. They should be able to do some imaging abd rule out tumors and then have some idea of what drugs to use.
IMO, PLE and PLN can be treated successfully in a lot of cases with immediate intervention. I think you should go to the Virginia Tech ER right now abd let them deal with this. |
I was worried about this also, but I understand it better now. It is the weekend that was causing the difficulty. They could treat the symptoms now, because it would interfere with the results of the tests that would be done Monday (they are closed on the weekend). I think she could have explained it better to me at the time, though. They explained everything much better today since they knew we were so worried and they now had more test results. Also, Virginia Tech is only open M-F 8-5 by appointment only and it is 2.5 hours away, so they would not have helped me today with my worries of getting through the weekend.
