It does every dog I've ever known. They go by an internal clock and just because you want to go to bed an hour earlier so you can get up earlier, baby may not need to go yet. But, just about the time you've been down an hour, he's right there, looking at you and going around in circles telling you it is time to go outside. Same thing the next morning, you get up and dig him up to go outside an hour earlier than he's used to and he just stands there at first, walks around. Older dogs will just go when they get the chance and a puppy usually that's been asleep all night will also but they look at you in the dark as if to say, "What's goin' on? It's dark out and I need the rest of my sleep! Why are we out here now?" But they usually go ahead and go. It does throw them off but usually by the end of the first week they are getting back in with the program and the new normal.
