Personally, I think mixing different foods is totally okay.

My dogs eat a little wet Premium dog food every day - Iams dry food is left out for them always - and they eat leftovers, etc. They are healthy and not overweight.

And - what in the world does he mean - "one food contradicts another." I'm sure a wide variety of different foods is healthy for us and for our pets too.

If someone made that statement to me - I'd ask them just exactly what foods contradict exactly what other foods. I'd really pin him down on that one. And, I ask him for the source of his information - where did he hear that!

And now that I think of it - my vet told me to feed my dogs two different dog foods....he suggested mixing wet and dry foods. Mainly because dogs like it and will often eat more dry food this way.

Anyway - my dogs have always eaten a lot of different foods...but their main foods are Premium and Iams....plus what they can talk me out of!!!
