I've never had one either, but my oldest started scoping out the local stores weeks ago on the lookout for them. She loves anything mint. She had her first one of the year last night, and is bugging me to pick her up on Friday because McD's is just down the street from the high school.
The reason they are such a big deal is only because they're only available for a short period every year.
