Hmmmm...why is he licking that area so much, I wonder? He must've been licking it so much that he broke skin, hence the yellow discharge. And if it *was* yellow, that usually indicates pus, which can mean some sort of infection was going on. I wonder if he had a bug bite there or something? That area would be SO easy to miss, if it was a bug bite.
Anyway, glad to hear that it is basically cleared up now
