Space is a premium in my tiny house too! That's the reason I prefer the 2 door crates. Depending on where it's placed, sometimes I don't have the space for the depth, but have space for the length.
A crate is an investment you'll have for the life of your pup, so, IMO, it's not the place to just go with the cheapest, if spending a couple of bucks more, makes it more functional for you.
