I would not attempt to clip Gracie's nails by myself. She is a wiggler. Wrapping in a big bath or beach towel really helps. You may have to reposition the towel with each leg but it keeps their heads out of the way. If you have a extremely difficult time you might want to try a dermal made for pets. It sands down the nail instead of clipping. There is less of a chance of accidentally clipping the vein and it makes a nice rounded nail that won't scratch your skin.

I once had a dog that was so bad about nail clipping that even 4 of us could not safely hold him down. When I took him to the groomer to have the nails clipped he stood there like and angel.
