I cut Blazer's after his bath so that they are nice and soft and the quick is easier to see. I wrap him in his towel and have him on his back in my lap and take his paws out one at a time to clip them. If he tries to squirm I sternly tell him NO! and keep working. The more assured and confident I am with the clipping the easier it goes. When we are all done I tell him that he is a good boy and give him lots of affection and sometimes a treat.
