Large is posted All Dogs over twenty five pounds. A few times I have gathered mine and left because some one had an aggressive dog, or an in tact male that was hump crazy or large breed puppy on the small side that harassed my older dogs. Most of the time my dogs enjoy the park and I think interaction is good for them. I know it is up to me to pay attention and keep them safe. I have to pass out cards rather than sit and talk, yes I am a trainer, but dog park I am a Yorkie Mama. ( I also keep a spray bottle of water hanging on jeans belt loop and have sprayed an over enthusiastic humper who was bugging my girls !) The owner was not happy but, my girls were. I am not advising that anyone do that though ! I lost my temper after asking him to stop his dog about five times. He just laughed and said My dog is a real dog you know, not a fru fru one like yours. So I squirted him.
Carman, I know I would have gotten angry too. I am very protective of my Yorkies and some people are so stupid about things that can trigger a fight. You did the right thing by leaving. Hugs | The owner or the dog??
