Yeah, I totally see that. Some of the kids who are Natalie's age in her preschool can't do half the things she can. I will admit that my son wasn't as "quick" as she is, but it wasn't from lack of trying. They are actually thinking of testing him for a learning disability, although I think he just isn't quite as bright, which is fine - as long as he is trying and improving, you know?

Anyway, I went into the preschool on Thursday for Natalie's parent-teacher conference and the teacher was going on and on about how Natalie is difficult because she gets bored quickly with things she already knows. Kind of a double edged sword - I felt proud, but worried about the behavior thing. We plan on going to the Santa Barbara zoo in a week, I think that should be fun. Since that's the plan, I've printed out all kinds of animal work sheets for them to work on until we go and we're going to the library today to get some "zoo" books.

My friend who has a four year old doesn't believe in doing those sorts of things for her son. She thinks it's the teachers' job once they get hold of him. To each his own, I guess, huh? I'm glad I'm not the only one who sets up projects and stuff for their children though!
