I started feeding Wellness Small Breed kibble over a month ago, having slowly converted from Blue Buffalo chicken and rice small breed kibble. I tried this as the formula is similar and it comes in smaller bags. The BB larger bags tended to go stale as it lasts so long. Both foods he did well on. However when I got a new bag of the same Wellness he did not want to eat it. I had to mix with BB canned chicken dinner that I had in the house. He also seems quiet and not his usual self, but does eat the mixture and poops/ pees as usual.
After all that........, has anyone found that just getting a new bag of the same food affects their dog? Wellness did not help, and suggested I get another new bag in exchange!
Or should I just go back to the BB (slowly of course) and throw away the end of the bag when it seems old? Thank you.
