If he has lymphangectasia, it is not curable but is treatable. The only real way to know is to do a scope and biopsies. That is how Cookie was diagnosed. I do think they probably are fairly certain that Bo has it based on the xray results and the fact there was fluid build up and of course protein loss. Yes, the meds and diet will help it to improve. The fact that he is tired indicates to me that he may still be having some issues; but you won't know that until you get the lab results. It is very encouraging that he is eating well.....the ones that don't respond well are the ones that don't want to eat.

My Cookie is on prednisone every other day now and will never come off of that. Every other day is a good way to give it to avoid the cushings type symptoms that come with steroid use. I won't tempt fate on that one....and she is doing fantastic now, thank God.

Just hang on until Monday...see what the lab results are and speak with your vet about this. Take a list of things that you want to ask/discuss. Sometimes it is easy to forget when you are in there. If your vet suggests a specialist, that is something I strongly encourage.

Prayers for you and Bo.
