My fiance says that she isn't hungry, and when she is thats when she eats. Maybe I should cut back on how much food I am giving her? At her weight the bag recommends 3/4 to 1 cup of food, and I give her the 1 cup because that was how much she used to eat of the dog food before she became "picky". Any ideas? It makes me sad to think I could be starving her and she won't be able to tell me.

i had 18 years of that silliness. the training books say leave the food down for 10 minutes, then pick it up and they don't get a thing till the next meal.. my yorkie, jem. was stubborn, he held out for two days. then ate his food when i gave it to him. until he started that again. it just doesn't end!
of course you have to know your dog. and jem would pull this every couple of months lol
jobi does this now too.. i am staring at his food this minute, while kyia's bowl is empty..ohh well.. happy starving.. he will eat tommorrow.
