 Dog food
Have you tried canned as well as kibble? It seems his digestive system is ok if he tolerates your food well.
What did he eat before he came to you?
When dogs change homes they can get sick and lose appetite until they are more comfortable. Perhaps you gave in too soon and fed him the chicken and rice etc, and now he is fussy and does not wish to eat dog food. I have been in the same position and thought my dog was sick, and tried numerous foods and
Vet visits. But in the end he 'recovered' and ate dog food ok.
