Charlie ( 2 1/2 years) has the puppy apartment and it is what helped me house train him. When I just left him in my laundry room ( before the puppy apt.) with a pee pad he destroyed the pee pad and used it as a toy and went to the bathroom any where on the floor?!!??!? Interestingly enough, he prefers to go outside and potty so I keep a pee pad in the apt but it never gets used - but I feel better knowing if I'm gone too long ( which is rare) he can go to the bathroom in his apt. and not be uncomfortable. I bought the metal one - I didn't know they made a pretty wooden one - I would have preferred that. Charlie loves his apt. and will chose to go in there to sleep even when I'm home and leave him out to run around. He seems to feel very safe in there. I would highly recommend it!! I don't want to jinx myself, but Charlie hasn't had an accident in over a year!! The first year of his life I was about to give up on him being housebroken and bought him a belly band because he could not be trusted. I think you will be very happy with the puppy apt. Good luck!!
