I always ask the vet to call me as soon as they are out of surgery so I can rest easier. My vet knows how nervous I am and she usually calls me herself as soon as surgery is done. Then I check a couple of hours later to see how they are recovering. Don't feel bad about asking for a call, most vets know how worried we are with these little ones. I will keep Diesel in my prayers. Usually they are pretty tired for the next 24 hours and spend a lot of time sleeping. I would try and limit his jumping by putting him up and down on beds/furniture. Mine use a ramp and never learned how to jump so it was never a problem. Let us know how he does.
