I only would get a dog from a shelter, not a breed because I thought they were all in it for the wrong reason. Yorkietalk really taught me so many valuable lessons, and I was able to find a breeder who breed for the betterment of the breed. I don't feel one bit guilty supporting THAT type of breeder.
You are right! YorkieTalk does work! I've seen members here attest to that and if they do, you know there are at least an equal number that have been changed but just don't post it. Over time I think reasonable people do begin to see that despite how cute a tiny, tiny little dog may be to them, it is just wrong for so many reasons to buy one and support a breeding program that willingly and knowingly works hard to produce them. Not to mention their own heartbreak as they see their tiny dog struggle with the well-known increased medical problems it is predisposed to have and the huge amounts of money it costs to treat them.
