if your yorkie is the cutest thing ever why not get another yorkie, I have no idea how big the dog you are thinking about getting is, but if you want a mate where they can roll on the floor and play and chase each other, don't you think it is easier with a dog around the same size. If you get a big puppy it is going to be hard to keep the bigger dog from hurting the yorkie just by accident. There are people here that have both big and small but a lot of times they had the larger dog first, so when they got the puppy the dog was trained, older and calmer. So many people that have yorkies think they are better in pairs, but not pairs with 60 lb differences. It's like letting your toddler go play football or soccer with a junior high team,I doubt many parents would let their child do that so why subject your yorkie to that.
