unfortunately i agree, after 5 years it may be difficult to have a new puppy with a 5 yo who is set in her ways.

you will need time to see if they can acclimate, this could go either way

sorry i would have gone to 3 years as a cut off for a new puppy on all breeds. i have done it with rotties at that age but no later
