I think dogs are extremely sensitive to the ones they love. I know my three stay closer when I am ill. My husband has to actually pick up Prissy from my side, when I am ill, and carry her outside to potty. She just won't leave my side when I am sick. I think it is so special that your little one was keeping virgil over your daughter during the night while she was sick. Our fur babies give us their all.
