Have you tried teaching him to fetch? I buy those 2" Chuckit balls. Sometimes they sell them in Walmart and at pet stores. When we have bad weather we play fetch inside. It's a great way to run off energy and break up the boredom a young dog will experience. When Gracie was a puppy I had to pick up the balls and put them away when we were done or she would chew the fuzz off the ball.
A kitten is a great distraction for them! Gracie grew up thinking she was made to herd cats!
Yeah, it will be great when spring gets here and we can do more things outside again.
