Thanks very much for your replies. Both links were very informative.

I will pull the import permit paperwork and re-read it in the context of the information conveyed from both of these blogs. I was thinking along the same lines as one comment made - "once you clear customs upon arrival, how would they ever know what you do after that?" Completely makes sense...how would they ever keep track of whether you went to a vet, or not? Particularly if you are in the outer islands. As a result, it makes sense that the vet visit would be waived in the outer islands. That would be ideal!

We are not staying in a hotel, I am leasing a house.., am planning to reach out the owners to see what experience they may have (house is pet friendly)
