This is where I was reading so just curious why the vet thinks it's Cerebellar hypoplasia? Cerebellar hypoplasia in dogs |
After doing a little research, I agree. What really seems weird to me is these are very similar to the symptoms that Huey had that caused my to find YT in the first place. He was limp, unsteady to the point of falling over, then he wouldn't walk at all, vomited once, lethargic and his head lolled against me when I picked him up. I watched this behavior for several hours then rushed him to the vet as soon as they opened, where he performed a miraculous recovery and they thought I was a nutter. He did it again recently but recovered more quickly. See
http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...d-my-mind.html. We went to the vet again and we are discussing the possibility of a seizure disorder. The 1st time we thought it might be vestibular syndrome, but his age didn't fit (older dogs and he is just 4) and it resolved too quickly. I agree with Mandies mom...the age of Colby doesn't fit. If you can't make it to Auburn, maybe you can get to Univ of Fla in Gainsville DVM school, but I don' t know the reputation of that school like I do Auburn. Good luck and I hope you get clearer answers than I did!
