Another thing I do is even when he has something he's aloud to have I tell him to put it down, that way I can give it right back, so later when he has something bad he'll be more willing to drop it.
The other day he had something in his mouth but I couldn't see so I said put it down and I could tell he didn't want to so I said it again and he slowly lowered his head and gently put it down, then I saw it was a whole Ritz cracker lol no wonder he didn't want to lose it! So after I picked it up I actually gave it right back as his reward |
