Remembering that is one reason this episode hit me like a ton of bricks. I'm so glad that Nathan Fillion was given the opportunity to show his talent as a dramatic actor as well as the comedy. He portrayed the frantic, grieving father without going over the top. His body language combined with the stellar script was just spot on.
The ending of the episode nearly did me in. My daughter is going on a student trip in June. Their first stop - Paris! I looked at her when it was over and said - YOUR TRIP IS CANCELLED!! I think I was only half joking.  |
I've thankfully never been through anything like that where actual known peril was near my child except for a very serious illness he had once. But when they are anywhere near to danger of any kind, it is heartstopping and you are so paralyzed with fear and worry.
