Toki is 1/2 way through a bag of the Orijen Regional Red and is doing great on it. I didn't really switch her over gradually (although I do feed her a smaller amount) and we have not had a single issue with gas or loose stools. I'll see how she's doing after a couple of bags to decide whether we'll stick with it or go back to Fromm. She used to get 4 tbsp 2x a day of the Fromm and now gets 3 tbsp 2x a day of the Orijen and is maintaining her weight and still enthusiastic at meals.
I'd definitely recommend Acana/Orijen and also Fromm. Fromm is more reasonably priced than Orijen and a brand that I always have in our rotation. It is also very palatable and has smaller kibble sizes. My sister's senior yorkie was never a great eater but LOVED Acana's Regional line. I know you can buy sample bags of the Acana/Orijen and most pet stores that sell Fromm will be able to get you free samples (we fed mostly from their grain-free choices and Toki's favorite was the Gamebird...so I think anyway
