I'm really glad you found someone with whom it sounds like you clicked

! So, you felt confident in his knowledge etc? If you think you'd recommend him, we do have a list of those who are 'nutritionists' in the Library:
http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/die...itionists.html
If you think he belongs on that list, feel free to provide his info and I'll include him there. I couldn't really tell what his qualifications were -- is he a vet who specialized in nutrition (like Rebecca Romillard)? Or is he someone who has sort of developed his own area of expertise like some other animal nutritionists? You don't have to state his price, but did you find him reasonable and affordable to most?
He definitely gave you good advice about feeding any fungus that feeds off of carbs. If it's a yeast infection (ie, systemic), his advice should help. He seems to have some good supplement recommendations too.
I don't agree with him regarding protein and yorkies...not sure what facts he's basing that opinion on. Protein is only a concern for dogs who have liver or kidney disease, or some other disease where protein is contraindicated. He may still be following that myth that protein
causes disease, which it doesn't. You may have to school him on that one

.
I hope all of his good info helps make everything better bc it's so hard watching them struggle w/ chronic stuff.
