Human antibiotics are never good for dogs or especially puppies. If you have antibiotics left over from your children, you're not treating them right as all antibiotics should be given as directed till finished, or risk creating a super strain of bacteria that is resistant to antibiotics. Then you'll have a sicker child and a sick pup on your hands. |

To the OP, In understand not having unlimited funds for treatment. However, I also know that small problems can turn into big ones, and more expensive ones -- and home remedies can get your pup into bigger and potentially fatal trouble.
I never give meds to my dogs unless directed by a doctor.
