So work a lot at first on the leave it lesson and then after 2 mos. of frequent training, teach this at least 2 -3 times a week for about 2 - 3 minutes. Tibbe thinks the dropping part is the best thing in the world as he gets his mommy to smile really big, get up NO MATTER WHAT ELSE SHE IS DOING and go to get him a treat, give it to him and tell him what a goooooood boy he is and he gets a little tickle, scratch or pat and more big smiles. I taught him well so that he is just inured to dropping it - doesn't think twice.
I will try that. Thanks! She is a super fast learner so it shouldn't take any time for her to understand. She figured out how to play dead in 10 mins so hopefully this will be just as easy!
