Thank you to everyone who suggested boiled chicken to use for doggy treats! I went & bought a couple good size boneless chicken breast. I put them on to boil & Baxter was in the kitchen going bananas just smelling them cook. So I bought small size freezer bags & cut up tiny chunks in about 10 bags & froze them. That way I can just take one out as needed! He absolutely loves them. I have already taught him to sit & stay using the chicken. Of course I'm not giving him too much, but I bet he'd the whole bag if he could! He has been a very finicky eater!
So thanks for the suggestions! I forgot to grab a box of Cheerios, I plan to try them too! Here's a pic of him sleeping soundly after his training session, pleased with his chicken!
