Dogs instinctively don't show illness or pain if they can help it so just because he doesn't act sick right now doesn't at all mean he's not. Just read my post about when to see veterinary care and watch him for any other signs of changes in behavior or eating or sleeping patterns. Changes in behavior and changes in eating, drinking patterns are often the ONLY way a dog has of telling us he's ill, aside from vomiting, diarrhea, etc.
