Dear Ladyjane (Linda), I just logged on today to find out more about pancreatitis. One of my three Yorkies, three year old Bijou, was just diagnosed with it. I cried my way through all your posts-and the supportive posts from the YorkieTalk members-about your sweet George. I am so happy and relieved to hear that your little baby came through it!! Bijou, although described by the vet as having "off the chart pancreatitis" did not need to be hospitalized. They put fluid under her skin, sent me home with 3 meds (one for upset tummy, one for diahrea, and one for vomiting) and she is on a chicken and rice diet for the next 5 days. She seems OK now (frisky self again) but I am so frightened. She has never had human food, only a very good, low fat kibble-Wellness. But still she has contracted pancreatitis. Again, what you and little George have gone through touched me so deeply, and I am so happy he is getting better!!
