This is why I am always harping about board certified specialists. They see all sorts of things that regular vets do not see.
One of our vets referred one of our rescues one day to a cardiologist because of an irregular heartrate. The pup was taken that day and the cardiologist was certain it was either tick related or chagas. When the test results came in, sure enough it was Chagas!
