I aggree with having the vet do some lab tests to make all as it should be.
As a side note my friend breeds Yorkies she has one pair that has one or two tinies each litter. The mom is about 6 pounds and the dad is 5 pounds. The father's stud was only 3 pounds. So she thinks this is where it comes from. She does not breed for tinies, she says they are much harder to place in the perfect home. She only will place them with stay at home/ work from home parent who do not/ can not have children !
