Take Oreo to the vet as soon as possible -- call a vet now. Max had similar symptoms and we took him to the ER because I thought he was choking. It's important that you have a doctor determine if anything is stuck in the throat. Max did not have anything stuck, but his throat was very red and irritated -- exact cause not determined. He was given an antibiotic and recovered quickly.
