Ok, so I just got Reign a couple of days ago. I want to teach him the word potty so I can eventually say potty and he'll go. The problem is I never see him go and he always goes on the pad himself. I tried leaving him in his 'house' (knowing he had to go) and waiting to see him go so I can praise him, but 2 hours later... nothing. So I gave up. I left the room and came back and there he went... on his pad.
I tried taking him for a walk and 30 min later... nothing. I tried putting him in his run in the backyard... nothing.
I am happy he is going on his pad, but he's not giving me a chance to praise him because he is doing it on his own. How do I teach him the word potty if this is how he is?
